My name is Mariana Grinman.  I am a Registered Psychologist licensed in both Alberta and Ontario, with over 22 years of clinical experience in the field of psychology. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I provide compassionate, insightful therapy to individuals seeking meaningful change and personal growth.

My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to your unique needs.  Together, we will identify and work through emotional and psychological barriers rooted in your past and present life that are holding you back from living the fulfilling life that you deserve.

  • With over 22 years of experience providing counselling and psycho-educational assessments, I have supported clients across Alberta and Ontario in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, counselling centres, and private practice.

  • I specialize in addressing complex challenges such as:

    • Recovery from trauma and PTSD

    • Immigration and cultural adjustment issues

    • Family dynamics and relationship concerns

    • Chronic health conditions, including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome

  • Using a personalized blend of evidence-based therapies, I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs.  Some therapeutic methods focus on emotional expression and regulation, while others emphasize identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns that impact your well-being.

  • As a bilingual psychologist fluent in both English and Spanish, I provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to help you navigate life’s challenges and achieve meaningful growth.

Referral process:

  • I welcome self-referrals, as well as referrals from other health professionals.  

  • Physician referrals are only required for clients participating in the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP).

  • Free 15-minute consultation.

  • Fees are standard as per the Psychologists' Association of Alberta: $235 per 50-minute session.

  • Most extended health insurance plans cover all or a portion of the costs.

  • Services are not covered by provincial health care (e.g., Alberta Health Care; OHIP).

  • I work directly with several providers (i.e., WCB, WSIB, IFHP, RCMP, NIHB, VAC, OMA and AMA).
